The request of an elderly Kalu Khan resident

Medical Aid UK received a request from an elderly philanthropist, Mr Fateh Muhammad Khan, who’s a resident in Kalu Khan, in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

Mr Khan is prepared to donate two new kidney haemo-dialysis machines costing around £18,000 and has made a request to Medical Aid UK to help establish a kidney dialysis centre in the Kalu Khan area, similar to the one Medical Aid UK are setting up in the Gilgit area of Pakistan.

Medical aid UK trustees have agreed to Mr Khan’s request and are now looking to also purchase a further two kidney haemo-dialysis machines and an RO Water system in the coming months. The Kalu Khan Kidney Dialysis Centre will be established at Kalu Khan Government Hospital by the end of 2018.
